Dave Sorley, started his tax business in 1967 in the corner of his and his wife Jan’s bedroom. After a couple of years, an office was made out of a section of the garage and that is where it stayed until mid-2016 when it relocated to its new home in Plainfield. Elisha worked alongside Dave for over 20 years. After Dave’s passing January 2, 2016, Elisha found herself having to make a decision, she either needed to close down the tax business and hope for the best for their clients or leave her full-time job. Dave always put his client’s wellbeing first, so Elisha and her husband decided that they would continue to do the same. After working for the same company for 22 years, she quit in order to grow her father’s business into something he would be proud of. It is in this same spirit that DL Sorley Tax Service strives to make every client feel that they aren’t just a number in our files but are friends that we’ve known for years.
